Forest Lake, Summer, and the Loons

Pav's and my time together here at the lake is way too brief, but it's still been so enjoyable.  Today we popped into Littleton and visited a great antique shop specializing in mid-century modern furnishings--too bad we already have enough lamps!

We took a relaxing ride to Eisenhower Wayside Park to view the Presidential Range (thank you, Ann & Mike, for the suggestion) and to the Mt. Washington Hotel.

Returning to the cottage in time to prep some dessert for dinner with our neighbors, Ellen, Eliot, and their son, Danny, I had the good fortune to see the lake loons take not one, but two babies out for some 'training' on the lake.
